Cisco lead will share real-world experience with emphasis on the design, deployment challenges and potential solutions. This intermediate session will cover Femtocell architecture, design considerations and challenges, design aspects of RF, Security, Quality of Service, Auto-configuration and monitoring. The session will focus on UMTS femtocell, though much of the concepts will apply to other wireless technologies like CDMA EV-DO and Wimax. Attendees should be familiar with Mobility SP network architecture (3GPP) and a basic knowledge of IP and Radio Access Network elements.
